Tango Glass – Trapped between the Layers  

(October 31, 2025 – February 8, 2026) 

The sharply colored, almost aggressive contrasts of glass inspired by the clothes of the lively South American tango dancers carry a specific charge of positive energy that will brighten up the short winter days. The exhibition has been realized in collaboration with the Waldmuseum in Zwiesel, Bavaria. 

 

The Eternal Return of Baroque

(April 9 – June 8, 2026)

The Baroque period had a profound influence on Bohemian culture and landscape, inspiring many artists, architects, and designers in the centuries that followed. The roots of the fame and renown of Bohemian glass lie in the Baroque period, and subsequent generations have built on this legacy in many ways.

 

Smart Glass

Work by students from the Glass Studio at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín

(June 12 – September 22, 2026)

The Glass Design Studio at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín, led by Professor Petr Stanický, guides students to a deep understanding of their work in many contexts—relationships between form, color concept, placement or function in space, the projection of illusion and reality, the front and back of things, light and shadow, and structural transparency, pushing beyond the line between fine and applied art with an emphasis on finding a unique approach.

 

Uranium Glass

(September 25, 2026 – February 8, 2027)

Bohemia was the first place in the world where uranium compounds were used to color glass, at least since the 1830s, and where they are still used today. Not only does uranium give interesting color tones to glass but also makes it glow beautifully under UV light. The exhibition maps two centuries of uranium glass history in the Czech lands.

 

Stained Glass and Mosaics in the Garden

(October 9 – November 30, 2026)

The autumn garden will come alive with illuminated stained‑glass and mosaic works created by Jitka and Richard Kant of the SKLOART workshop in Lubenec.
